Happy all Hallows eve!
It’s almost time for Reunited again and it’s going to be a really significant one – come along to find out why!
8th November 2008, at St. Martins in the Bullring… 7pm - 9pm
Bishop David will be there and the theme for the evening will be ‘An Alternative Christmas’. We’ll be looking at what it’s like for people living in Bethlehem today and hearing about the issues of the situation in Israel and Palestine.
- Our speaker for the evening will be Charlotte Marshall from Christian aid. Charlotte is the Unit Manager of Birmingham Christian Aid and has travelled extensively in the Middle East visiting Christian Aid partners and groups seeking reconciliation between Palestinian and Israeli communities. Charlotte will show an audio visual slide presentation examining the realities of life for ordinary Palestinians as a result of the Israeli occupation.
- Al Zaytouna Nottingham Dabke Group will be performing contemporary and traditional Palestinian Dance (Dabke) and music. They’ll also be doing a workshop so you can learn some of the moves to impress your mates!
- Our worship group for the evening will be the amazing local band ‘Highrise’ who are sure to be brilliant and are tipped to become huge in the next few years!
- There’ll be an opportunity for you to get creative and produce some protest art.
We look forward to seeing you there for what promises to be an exciting and challenging event
Blessings in Him
