As 2012 begins I'm sure it can't have escaped your notice that the Olympics are drawing ever closer. Therefore, I'm just going to take this opportunity to let you know about a hugely exciting event that's coming to a city somewhere near you. Read on to find out more about More Than Gold and the Get Set Tour…

More Than Gold (MTG) are an excellent organisation that exist solely to facilitate the church to maximise the unique opportunity provided by the Olympics. Over the years MTG have seen loads and loads of churches, whether sporty or otherwise, from all around the world capture the Olympic vision and spread the Gospel. They have also witnessed churches which left it too late, not realising how big the Olympics are, and ended up regretting not grasping the opportunity. MTG are desperate for the UK to be full of churches that do the former!

Grove Books

Helen has recently co written a new Grove booklet,
Supporting Young People Through Parental Break-up
with Pete English - founder of This Way Up - a charity that supports young people affected by loss through parental seperation and bereavment.

'God Hates divorce' - because he hates to see the pain and disruption it causes, and calls upon us to come alongside those who have suffered its consequences and bind up the broken-hearted.

This practical study looks at the impact of divorce on young people, the factors in coping, and the practical things we can do in support.

You can purchase a copy from the office here, at £3.95 or online at http://www.grovebooks.co.uk/
